World Biosphere Reserve
On November 9, 2000, UNESCO declared the Archipelago of San Andrés, La Vieja Providencia and Santa Catalina as the new World Biosphere Reserve, called "SEAFLOWER"; It is part of the 391 ecological zones of this type on Planet Earth.
This archipelago is one of the most isolated island groups in the Americas.
The archipelago includes three small inhabited islands, as well as several coral keys and banks, a small paradise that lives at the rhythm of the reggae culture, the souk and the calypso with legacies of the influence of the English, Spaniards, pirates and corsairs.
A perfect destination to enjoy the beach, water sports, diving and ecotourism.
